About The Position

As an engineer on our team, you will be involved in the design, development, integration and verification of our unmanned aircraft software application team. We work in an embedded real time operating system environment, coded in C/C++, so proficiency in these areas will help the candidate come up to speed quickly. Candidates are also required to have excellent communication skills to communicate technical issues and status in both written and oral form to customers. The candidate must be adaptable to change, determined to accomplish tasks based on program schedule, collaborate with teammates in order to make the best decisions, enjoy learning new technologies, be self-motivated and contribute to a positive work environment. This position will work onsite located at one of our following locations: Ft Wayne, IN, McKinney, TX, or El Segundo, CA.

Requirements

  • Requires a Bachelor’s degree and 12 months or less of relevant professional work experience (excluding internships).
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance

Nice To Haves

  • Experience developing software in a Linux build environment
  • Experience developing software for real-time operating systems
  • Experience developing software using the C or C++ languages
  • Experience working in a full software development life cycle
  • Experience developing and deploying software using containers

Responsibilities

  • Support the design, demonstrate, develop, and maintain embedded software for unmanned aircraft products.
  • Integrate software into complex aircraft systems
  • Develop and conduct complex tests and debug systems that contain logical and mathematical solutions.
