About The Position

The Software Engineer I is an exciting entry-level technical position, providing installation, maintenance, and modification of software in support of MultiCare's websites and software development efforts. From application development and performing hands-on coding to developing documentation, this role will offer you dynamic day-to-day work functions.

Requirements

Associates degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or related field business, healthcare, or Information Technology
Additional specific recent Information Technology or healthcare experience may be substituted year for year for education
Current Washington State Drivers License; and proof of a safe driving record (which meets established MHS Standards) obtained by a motor vehicle report from the appropriate state

Responsibilities

You will collaborate to ensure seamless system integration across all applications, systems, platforms, and infrastructure withinâ the global computing environment
You will troubleshoot and resolve system problems
You will apply object-oriented programming in C++/Java languages, software development, maintenance and deployment
You will see to programming, installing, administering and maintaining Application Server software in UNIX and Windows NT environments
You will document development efforts using technical documentation techniques including database design, application design and ongoing documentation of changes and modifications
You will use Software Quality Assurance (SQA) practices including constructing automated test sequences, unit, iterative, system, user-acceptance and integration testing procedures, error analysis and resolution processes
