About The Position

Join Collins Aerospace as an entry level DevSecOps, Software Engineer. We are looking for a strong, passionate problem-solver with an action-oriented, collaborative mindset who strives to exceed expectations. This position will be at our Aguadilla, PR location. You must be residing in Puerto Rico at the time of starting employment. Relocation is not offered. This role is categorized as hybrid, with 3 days onsite and 2 days remote following the schedule assigned by the Manager.

Requirements

  • Typically requires a university degree unless prohibited by local laws/regulations and less than 2 years prior relevant experience.
  • Demonstrated professional experience communicating in English (verbal and written).
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.

Nice To Haves

  • Software Development experience.
  • Knowledge of programming and scripting languages (C, C++, PowerShell, Python, Ruby, Bash, etc.).
  • Direct experience with Agile methodologies.
  • Proven analytical skills with the ability to troubleshoot tool and system operation performance issues.
  • Experience with one or more of the following: AWS, Docker, Ansible, GitHub, GitLab, Kubernetes, Rancher, Prometheus, Terraform, Jenkins.
  • Experience with Linux System Administration.
  • Experience with Database Management.
  • General working knowledge of networks, storage, and virtualization.
  • Experience working with small teams.
  • Prior DevOps or DevSecOps experience.

Responsibilities

  • Support the development of a DevSecOps system integration lab pipeline to automate and optimize the development and deployment process of complex systems.
  • Research and selection of modern tooling.
  • Integrating tooling, apps, and scripts into the development pipeline.
  • Research and selection of technologies to enable automation and increase flow.
  • Develop small applications and scripts to support integration and flow of software updates.
  • Create framework to automate test, deployment, and delivery of software.
