About The Position

Help modernize and sustain mission-critical systems that support customers around the world. As a Software Engineer supporting Global Services Management and Value-Added Services, you will play a hands-on role in system refresh initiatives, lifecycle support, and technical issue resolution across globally deployed platforms. You’ll work at the intersection of systems programming, automation, Linux environments, and emerging front-end and database technologies, gaining broad exposure while building a strong engineering foundation.

Requirements

  • Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and less than 2 years prior relevant experience
  • Proficiency in C/C++ and Python
  • Solid understanding of Linux operating systems, shell scripting, and basic system administration
  • Familiarity with version control tools such as Git
  • Strong analytical, debugging, and troubleshooting skills
  • Effective communication and collaboration abilities

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with system provisioning or configuration management tools (e.g., Ansible, Puppet)
  • Understanding of networking fundamentals and hardware/software interfaces
  • Exposure to global service platforms or international teams
  • Knowledge of database architecture and maintenance

Responsibilities

  • You will develop, maintain, and troubleshoot software components using C/C++ and Python to support globally deployed service platforms.
  • You will support system refresh initiatives, including software re-imaging, patching, configuration updates, and hardware/software lifecycle upgrades.
  • You will collaborate with cross-functional teams (DevOps, QA, Field Service) to ensure system stability, consistency, and performance during upgrades and deployments.
  • You will automate routine maintenance and service tasks using Python and Bash scripting to improve efficiency and reliability.
  • You will analyze logs, debug issues, and resolve incidents impacting global customers and service teams.
  • You will contribute to front-end development, automated testing, and database-related work, expanding your technical breadth.
  • You will create and maintain technical documentation to support deployment, troubleshooting, and operational teams.
  • You will participate in code reviews, testing, and CI processes, supporting continuous improvement and software quality.
