About The Position

Braintrust is the AI observability platform. By connecting evals and observability in one workflow, Braintrust gives builders the visibility to understand how AI behaves in production and the tools to improve it. Teams at Notion, Stripe, Zapier, Vercel, and Ramp use Braintrust to compare models, test prompts, and catch regressions — turning production data into better AI with every release. We're hiring a Growth Engineer to build the systems, tools, and infrastructure that drive developer acquisition, activation, and expansion. You'll own the technical side of growth, shipping high-converting pages, developer tools, viral mechanics, and lifecycle infrastructure that compound over time. You care as much about conversion metrics as you do about code quality, and you have the full-stack skills, developer empathy, and bias for shipping to make an impact fast.

Requirements

  • You've built growth systems at a devtools, infra, or API company
  • You've shipped programmatic SEO or landing page systems that drove measurable organic traffic
  • You've built developer tools, CLIs, or integrations with strong adoption
  • You've designed and implemented referral, invite, or viral mechanics
  • You've instrumented attribution and conversion tracking across complex user journeys
  • You've created lifecycle systems tied to product behavior

Responsibilities

  • Build acquisition infrastructure
  • Ship programmatic landing page systems and high-converting web experiences with rapid experimentation
  • Implement end-to-end attribution tracking across the developer journey
  • Reduce signup friction through authentication integrations and streamlined flows
  • Drive developer-focused growth
  • Build CLI tools, integrations, and open-source projects that deliver standalone value while driving product adoption
  • Create smart onboarding experiences that adapt to user context and accelerate time-to-value
  • Ship developer-facing features that increase visibility and organic signups
  • Design expansion and virality mechanics
  • Build shareability into core product outputs with contextual signup opportunities
  • Design team invite and referral flows that incentivize expansion
  • Create integrations that expose the product to new users within organizations
  • Own lifecycle and activation systems
  • Build lifecycle marketing infrastructure for automated onboarding, activation, and re-engagement
  • Create behavior-triggered alerts and notifications that drive continued engagement
  • Instrument and optimize activation funnels to identify and fix drop-off points
