About The Position

Google's software engineers develop the next-generation technologies that change

access a reality.

mobile connectivity. Our team is responsible for the entire subscriber journey,
from plan selection and device activation to providing award-winning coverage
around the world. Our team's deep expertise spans cellular network operations,
iOS and Android app development, and subscription business operations.

The Fi team applies Google's AI to solve complex, real-world problems - from
AI-enhanced call audio to AI billing summaries to AI-powered cohort analysis -
that helps Google Fi customers stay reliably connected to what’s most important
to them.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 2 years of experience with software development in the Java or Kotlin programming language.
• 1 year of experience with networking protocols.

Nice To Haves

• Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or a related technical field.
• 2 years of experience testing, maintaining, or launching software products.
• 2 years of experience with data structures and algorithms.
• Experience working mobile application development, networking (Wi-Fi), security software development (VPN).
• Passion for learning new technologies and solving user-facing problems.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and enhance software solutions for both Android apps and operating systems.
• Develop power and performance optimized solutions for Android phones.
• Debug and fix user reported issues.
• Manage individual projects priorities, deadlines, and deliverables.
