About The Position

Our mission is to build software that enables people to discover, watch, and upgrade the entertainment they love. We spend a lot of time thinking about how to optimize the customer experience, but we also passionately debate tabs versus spaces. Requirements

  • Familiarity with Java; other current languages are a plus.
  • Understanding of foundational software concepts, including RESTful Web Services and Unix/Linux environments.
  • Knowledge of Golang
  • Exposure to agile development practices and version control.
  • Demonstrates a strong sense of ownership, a proactive desire to learn, and an eagerness to engage with team mentorship.
  • Values teamwork, "plays nicely with others," and respects diverse viewpoints.
  • Approaches problem-solving with creativity and an innovative mindset.
  • Bachelor’s Degree (or Equivalent) in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • 0–2 years of related experience (internships, bootcamps, and academic projects count).

Nice To Haves

  • Any exposure to cloud services (AWS), container management (Docker), messaging services (Kafka, RabbitMQ), or alternative languages (Clojure, Lua, Erlang) is a plus, but we will teach you what you need to know.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in daily standups
  • Write and test code
  • Submit and review pull requests
  • Deploy and monitor code in production
  • Collaborate to troubleshoot and fix bugs
  • Assist in the implementation, testing, and documentation of core technology components using internal software frameworks.
  • Work alongside senior engineers who will provide active mentorship as you identify performance bottlenecks, analyze application metrics, and optimize large-scale data processing routines.
  • Participate in technical debt cleanup and solution analysis, bringing a fresh perspective to ongoing engineering challenges.
  • Operate with integrity, treat colleagues and customers with respect, and contribute to a culture of fairness and inclusion.
