Tenstorrent is building a full-stack AI computing platform, from silicon through compilers and software. As our technology moves into automotive and other safety-critical domains, functional safety must be designed directly into the software architecture. This role owns software functional safety end-to-end, working across software, hardware, product, and customers to deliver ISO 26262-compliant, ML-driven systems at scale. This role is hybrid, based out of Santa Clara, CA. We welcome candidates at various experience levels for this role. Requirements
- A senior software or systems engineer with deep functional safety experience in automotive or safety-critical environments.
- Experience leading or significantly contributing to ISO 26262 software compliance, safety concepts, and certification efforts.
- Comfortable operating across architecture, process definition, and multi-team execution.
- Clear, direct communicator who turns safety requirements into engineering action.
Responsibilities
- Ownership of the Software Product Safety Plan aligned with ISO 26262 and ASPICE.
- Definition and execution of the software functional safety certification roadmap.
- Safety architecture, analysis, and implementation across ML-based software stacks.
- Close collaboration with internal teams, customers, and third-party assessors.
