About The Position
A-Players is helping RallyBoard hire their next Software Engineer to accelerate product development and move beyond MVP into early adopter scale. RallyBoard is entering a growth phase and needs to increase engineering velocity, reduce tech debt, and ship features faster. This hire will work side-by-side with the founders and the first engineer to shape both the product and engineering culture. About RallyBoard RallyBoard is a community technology startup helping professional associations fight isolation and accelerate upskilling by connecting members into structured peer groups. The founding team has deep experience building and scaling startups to $10M+ ARR, 100+ employees, and 200k+ users, with systems handling 8M+ requests/day. Team size: 5 full-time Locations: US (NY, CA) Stage: Post-MVP, early adopter phase Funding: freshly baked (Seed)
Requirements
- 2-3+ years of professional software engineering experience
- At least 1 year in a startup or fast-paced product environment
- Strong across the stack: backend logic, APIs, and UI
- Comfortable working independently with minimal process
- Clear written English and strong async communication habits
- Ability to bring structure into ambiguous environments
- Expert in JavaScript/TypeScript, SQL, web development

Responsibilities
- Full-stack development
- Scaling our infrastructure, tools, and codebase for the next stage of growth
- Working across disciplines — engineering, product, and even a bit of strategy (80% tactical / 20% strategic)
- Collaborating directly with founders and our first engineer
