Are you a Software Engineer with experience in developing web-based data visualization tools? Can you identify, integrate, map, and monitor complex and disparate data flows? Imagine yourself working on top-level, critical mission sets alongside other seasoned professionals. Parsons is now hiring a Software Engineer with a passion for innovation and solving mission critical challenges to support our US Army Pacific (USARPAC) customer. Specific Responsibilities: Experience with both front-end and back-end coding languages, development frameworks and third-party libraries. Coordinate across multi-functional teams to formulate, prototype, implement and fine-tune solutions. Conduct performance tuning, testing, refactoring, usability, and automation activities; implement UI/UX requirements via responsive frameworks and design systems. Review and write clean code, resolve and troubleshoot errors, and apply constant refactoring to address cumbersome or faulty code. Identify and integrate various data sources (e.g. APIs, file systems, databases); develop and maintain data pipelines to automate the ingestion of source data. Ensure data is stored securely and can be accessed efficiently by downstream applications and users. Monitor, optimize, and document workflow and data storage for performance, reliability, and to ensure compliance with data governance policies.

Requirements

5+ years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; will consider experience in lieu of degree
5+ years’ experience working in a multi-skilled team environment collaborating on data integration
Proficiency in programming languages (e.g. Python, Java, Scala)
Understanding of AWS cloud platform and services
Familiarity with big data technologies (e.g. Apache Kafka, Apache Spark, or Hadoop)
Experience with data integration and ETL tools (e.g. Apache NiFi, Talend, or Informatica)
Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Able to convey complex issues in an easy-to-understand manner
Active DoD Secret-level security clearance

Nice To Haves

Active DoD TS/SCI-level security clearance
Previous experience supporting an INDOPACOM or US Army customer
Experience supporting INDOPACOM intelligence and/or operations
Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases
Knowledge of servers operating systems; Windows, Linux, Distributed Computing, and cloud infrastructure
