About The Position

Epirus is a high-growth technology company dedicated to overcoming the asymmetric challenges inherent to the future of national security. Epirus' flagship product, Leonidas, is a software-defined system built using intelligent power management techniques that allow power-hungry systems to do more with less. Job Summary: This is an opportunity to join a team of skilled software engineers developing across the full stack down to bare metal. We are tackling new and critical problems and developing products ranging from energy weapons to AI-powered sensors and drone swarm defense. As we enhance, scale and deploy our systems, we need software engineers who want to take ownership and work closely with a skilled team from planning through implementation. Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.
5+ years of professional front-end/UI development experience, JavaScript and TypeScript Expert
Mastery in building UI applications with React
Competence in at least one set of front-end build tools, bundling, and transpilation
Competence in at least one set of testing frameworks for unit, integration, and e2e testing (e.g., Jest, Playwright)
Mastery of CSS, SASS, and experience with Bootstrap, Tailwind, Material-UI, Shadcn
Experience optimizing performance for real-time React applications
Experience with Agile/Scrum development
Experience working with a design/development pipeline
At least 1+ years with at least one of the following: web-based 3d rendering, data visualization, mapping libraries
To conform to U.S. Government space technology export regulations, including the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) you must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident of the U.S., protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3), or eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State.

Experience with wireframing/design tools (e.g., Figma, Adobe XD, Sketch)

Responsibilities

Make powerful insights into our architectural decision-making, including framework trade-offs, state-management solutions, API and business layer patterns, and error-handling strategies
Collaborate effectively with UX/UI designers to ensure the seamless translation of design concepts into functional, user-friendly interfaces
Collaborate effectively with our backend teams to improve API designs
Integrate novel front-end tech into our stack
Take ownership of significant new features and plan them with meaningful technical document requirements descriptions, design wireframes, and software design diagrams
Optimize not just performance but developer experience, CI/CD, and testing
Be a force for readability and clean coding patterns in our codebase.
