About The Position

Join the Lockheed Martin Aeronautics team as a Software Integration Requirements and Planning Engineer Staff embedded within the Ogden Air Logistic Complex software maintenance group that develops and designs F-16 aircraft specific software for the aircraft Operational Flight Program (OFP) and/or sub-system flight computers! This position involves interpreting and decomposing aircraft and weapons requirements to develop test cases and software programs for mission planning software, as well as developing software applications and engineering packages to enhance traditional software and hardware System Integration Lab (SIL) testing processes. You will coordinate with software and hardware development teams to plan and execute tests, document findings, and conduct integration tests of mission planning software in parallel with aircraft OFP development.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college.
  • Fighter aircraft mission planning system and weapons planning experience.
  • Skills and experience investigating, defining, and developing software system requirements and features for system implementation.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Power Point).

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with and working knowledge of F-16 aircraft operations and capabilities.
  • Software and hardware integration testing experience.
  • Mission planning systems experience.
  • Microsoft Office applications familiarity.
  • Experience effectively interfacing with civilian government, DoD, and industry representatives.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and must be able to work well in a team environment.
  • Exhibit excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Interpret and decompose aircraft and weapons requirements to develop test cases and software programs for mission planning software.
  • Develop software applications and software engineering packages to enhance and improve traditional software and hardware System Integration Lab (SIL) testing processes.
  • Coordinate and communicate with software and hardware development and test team members to plan and execute tests across the spectrum of the software development processes.
  • Document findings and results in accordance with established development and configuration management processes.
  • Conduct integration tests of mission planning software in parallel with aircraft Operational Flight Programs (OFP) development.
  • Develop test plans and test procedures.
  • Effectively communicate discovered software defects and anomalies.
  • Assist with troubleshooting and correcting WITs and Defects.
  • Conduct system level tests at each phase of the software development process.
  • Support Interface Control Working Group (ICWG) and User Group meetings.
