Software Engineer (Entry Level)
About The Position
OptiSigns is a fast-growing SaaS company building powerful digital signage software used by over 35,000 customers across 120 countries. Our platform runs screens in retail, healthcare, education, restaurants, and enterprises worldwide. We move super fast, obsess over customers, and value people who take ownership, learn quickly, and execute. We are looking for a Junior Software Engineer who is early in their career and excited to learn, build, and grow in a real production environment. You’ll work closely with experienced engineers and product teams to develop, maintain, and improve features used by thousands of customers. This role is designed for recent graduates (up to two years of experience) or candidates graduating in May 2026, with an expected start date between June to August 2026.
Requirements
- Experience in full-stack web development, with a strong focus on both front-end and back-end technologies.
- Proficiency in front-end frameworks such as React.js, AngularJS.
- Proficiency in back-end technologies such as Node.js, Express.js, Nest.js.
- Experience with database systems such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, or Redis.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with a track record of delivering scalable and reliable solutions.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Responsibilities
- Work on the design and development of apps from concept to production.
- Develop and maintain front-end components using modern JavaScript, TypeScript frameworks such as React.js or Angular.
- Implement server-side logic and APIs using Node.js, Express.js, Nest.js or other back-end technologies.
- Design and optimize database schemas and queries using relational and/or NoSQL databases.
- Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code adhering to coding standards and best practices.
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other stakeholders to define and prioritize features.
- Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends, and advocate for their adoption when appropriate
