Requirements

  • Software Development experiences in Healthcare: Experiences working with health care industry standard API such as HL7 v2, FHIR, Epic Interconnect web services.
  • Software Development experiences in Fast Pace Team: Past experiences working in fast paced, self-motivated scrum based software development team.
  • Deep understanding of modern distributed systems with understanding of modern containerization and orchestration.
  • Past experiences working with Typescript or Javascript preferred.
  • Past experiences troubleshooting complex software issues using logs and traces.

Nice To Haves

  • Experiences with AWS or other commercial public cloud solutions.
  • Experience with Typescript and NodeJS.
  • Prior experience working directly within or extensively integrating with a major Electronic Health Record (EHR) vendor, such as Epic or Cerner.
  • Deep understanding and practical experience working with FHIR Implementation Guides (IGs).
  • Direct experience designing and implementing secure application launches and data access using industry-standard authorization protocols, specifically OAuth 2.0 and the SMART on FHIR application launch framework.
  • Experience with systems and strategies for managing and reconciling patient identities across disparate clinical systems.

Responsibilities

  • Advancing our EHR integration to EHR via HL7 v2, FHIR and proprietary web service calls.
  • Work with product managers and EHR specialists to design and implement clinical workflows built on the EHR integration.
  • Work with the Information Security team to ensure the accuracy, security, and integrity of patient data as it moves between Xealth, vendors, and EHR systems.
  • Working with DevOps and platform engineers, scale our clinical workflow solutions with modern container based platforms running in the cloud.
  • Use tools like GitHub Copilot to rethink our development lifecycle, automate toil, and empower engineers.
  • Act as an escalation point for production issues and apply an empathetic approach to diagnose and resolve complex system problems.
