About The Position

Viasat's UHF SATCOM business is actively improving and modernizing our various software and hardware products. We have developed a comprehensive range of software products that offer channel control and network terminal capabilities for military satellite communications. Our products have been deployed by the US military and many foreign allies for many years at numerous customer sites to meet crucial satellite communication needs for warfighters around the globe in all weather and terrain conditions. The candidate will work alongside experienced and knowledgeable software engineers and perform work that will continue to enhance and strengthen Viasat's global leadership in UHF SATCOM-related technologies.

Requirements

• Completion of Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 0-3 years of full-time, relevant industry experience.
• U.S. citizenship required.
• Experiences with C/C++ and Python.
• Exposure to JavaScript or TypeScript and web development.
• Familiarity with RDBMS technologies (MS SQL Server, MySQL, Oracle, etc.)

Nice To Haves

• Experiences with Visual Studio IDE and C#/.NET.
• Experiences with embedded software programming concepts and tools.
• Experiences using version control and issue tracking tools (e.g., Git, Jira, Perforce, etc.)
• Ability to obtain and maintain U.S. secret security clearance.
