About The Position

Wellmark of South Dakota Inc. seeks a Software Engineer - Dynamics CRM based out of our U.S. headquarters in Des Moines, Iowa; however, this is a purely telecommuting/work-from home position whereby the employee may reside anywhere within the U.S. The role involves leading development and/or production support for key Frontier applications and custom integrations as aligned. Responsibilities include defining, analyzing, estimating, developing, testing, implementing, documenting, and maintaining programs and systems that meet business requirements. The engineer will contribute to solutions architecture deliverables and decisions, ensuring code and technical specifications adhere to established architectural standards. Collaboration with the UX team is essential to improve user experience and meet accessibility or usability criteria. The position also requires resolving technical problems for on-premise, cloud-native, and hybrid applications and solutions, leading problem-solving efforts with other technology areas, and supporting the gathering of information for root cause analysis and solution implementation.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, MIS, or related field.
  • 36 months of experience in the job offered or related.
  • 3 years of experience in software development and configuration in Dynamics CRM.
  • 2 years of experience in design and development in Angular, NodeJS, TypeScript, C++, .NET, Java, SQL.
  • Experience in troubleshooting and developing creative technical solutions.
  • Experience with gathering information and performing necessary research for root cause analysis.

Responsibilities

  • Lead development and/or production support for key Frontier applications and custom integrations.
  • Define, analyze, estimate, develop, test, implement, document, and maintain programs and systems that meet business requirements.
  • Contribute to solutions architecture deliverables and decisions.
  • Ensure code and technical specifications adhere to established architectural standards.
  • Partner and problem-solve with the UX team to improve user experience.
  • Resolve technical problems for on-premise, cloud-native, and hybrid applications.
  • Support the gathering of information for root cause analysis and solution implementation.
  • Provide analysis of defects to find root cause and recommend solutions.
  • Communicate and provide regular updates to leadership and stakeholders.
  • Collaborate and work as a team to accomplish goals and solve problems.
  • Serve as subject matter expert in the implementation of innovative business solutions.
