Who we're looking for Toyota Financial Services’ Enterprise Tools team is seeking a passionate and highly motivated Software Engineer - DevOps. In this role, you will build world-class platform engineering solutions that empower our development teams through automation, configuration management, and system reliability. Reporting to the Enterprise Tools leadership, you will play a key role in ensuring seamless application deployment and optimal performance, driving innovation that supports Toyota’s commitment to excellence. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience that provides a strong foundation in software engineering and cloud technologies.
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience designing, developing, and maintaining cloud-native platforms, preferably on AWS or similar cloud providers.
  • Proven mastery of CI/CD tools such as Jenkins or GitHub Actions, including configuration, customization, and integration.
  • Proficiency in programming and scripting languages like Python, Java, Bash, or Groovy to automate and customize workflows.
  • Solid experience integrating containerization into CI/CD pipelines, including Docker and orchestration platforms like Kubernetes, Amazon ECS, or AWS Fargate.
  • Familiarity with test-driven development (TDD) to ensure robust, maintainable automation solutions.
  • Working knowledge of AWS services including Lambda, DynamoDB, EC2, S3, ELB, RDS, and EKS.
  • Experience with infrastructure automation tools such as Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, AWS CDK, and AWS CodeDeploy.

Responsibilities

  • Own the design, development, and maintenance of CI/CD pipelines and container platforms that power our cloud-native applications.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to implement technology solutions that enhance developer productivity and user experience.
  • Drive automation initiatives that reduce manual effort, improve efficiency, and enable rapid, high-quality software releases.
  • Champion DevOps culture by promoting best practices, improving communication, and fostering collaboration across teams.
  • Introduce and implement new frameworks and tools that boost team productivity and platform reliability.
  • Develop and maintain self-service tools and automation solutions that empower teams to manage infrastructure and deployments independently.
  • Provide technical leadership in infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools like Terraform and AWS CloudFormation, ensuring scalable and secure cloud environments.
  • Continuously evaluate and adopt industry best practices to keep our platforms cutting-edge and maintainable.
