Equifax is seeking a creative, high-energy and driven Software Engineer, DevOps with hands-on development skills to work on a variety of meaningful projects.   • Design, build, and maintain our core infrastructure as code using tools like Terraform and Helm.
  • Develop and manage robust CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins to automate software delivery from development to production.
  • Operate, scale, and troubleshoot our Kubernetes (GKE) clusters to ensure high availability and performance.
  • Implement and manage comprehensive monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions to proactively identify and resolve infrastructure issues.
  • Collaborate with software engineering teams to optimize application deployment, scalability, and reliability on our cloud platform.
  • Administer and harden Linux-based systems, ensuring they are secure, performant, and reliable.
  • Participate in technology roadmap and architecture discussions to ensure operational best practices are integrated into our designs.
  • Automate manual operational tasks and processes to improve efficiency and reduce human error.
  • Manage sole project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables for infrastructure-related initiatives.
  • Triage and resolve production infrastructure issues, participating in an on-call rotation.
  • Actively participate in Sprint planning, Sprint Retrospectives, and other team activities.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in a DevOps or Operations role.
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience with Linux/Unix administration and scripting (e.g., Bash, Python).
  • 5+ years experience with a major Cloud provider: GCP, AWS, or Azure.
  • 5+ years experience designing, building, and managing CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins.
  • 5+ years experience defining and deploying infrastructure-as-code using Terraform.
  • 5+ years experience deploying, managing, and troubleshooting containerized applications with Kubernetes.
  • Proven experience with containerization technologies like Docker.
  • Self-starter that identifies/responds to priority shifts with minimal supervision.
  • Experience with monitoring and observability tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, Datadog).
  • Deep understanding of networking concepts (e.g., VPCs, subnets, firewalls, load balancing).
  • Experience with configuration management tools like Ansible, Puppet, or Chef.
  • Source code control management systems (e.g. Git, Github).
  • Familiarity with Agile environments (e.g. Scrum, Kanban).
  • Operational experience with relational and NoSQL databases (e.g. MySQL, PostgreSQL, Bigtable).
  • Atlassian tooling (e.g. JIRA, Confluence).
  • Experience securing cloud infrastructure and applications.
