The Boeing Company is looking for Software Engineer - Developer (Associate or Experienced) to join the Vertical Lift Division in Ridley Park, PA. This position will focus on supporting the Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) Software Engineering organization. In this role, the engineer will have the opportunity to develop high-quality software solutions that drive innovative projects forward. Collaborating closely with cross-functional teams, they will contribute to the delivery of robust and scalable products that meet the needs of clients. Additionally, the engineer will play a key role in the testing process, ensuring that deliverables adhere to the highest standards of quality and performance. Our teams are currently hiring for a broad range of experience levels including Associate, and Experienced Level Software Engineers. This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

Requirements

  • 2 or more years of professional experience with C, C++, C#, Python, Java, or Ada
  • 1 or more years of experience with Agile software development lifecycle

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science
  • Ability to Obtain U.S. Secret Security Clearance - Final Post-Start
  • Level 3: 3 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Experience with Git and CI/CD pipelines
  • Ability to research and solve fundamental problems
  • Experience leading complex software projects
  • Skills in developing, documenting, and maintaining software architectures, code, designs, and automated tests
  • Ability to break down functional requirements into well-defined tasks
  • Willingness to learn new skills through on-the-job training and experience

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with teams to understand software requirements and design objectives
  • Propose, design, and implement software solutions
  • Develop, document, and maintain software architectures, requirements, designs, code, and automated tests
  • Participate in code reviews and design discussions, contributing to continuous improvement
