Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
• 2+ years of product development experience
• Platform & tooling experience
• Experience leading cross-team engineering projects or working closely with product and other stakeholders
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Passion and motivation to learn and grow as a software engineer

Nice To Haves

• An object-oriented server language; Java preferred
• Containerization tooling, such as Kubernetes, Helm, Kustomize, Docker, and ArgoCD
• CI/CD systems; GitHub Actions preferred
• Common build tools; Make & Maven preferred
• *NIX systems and scripting; Python, Shell, and Go preferred
• Web frontend tech; TypeScript and Angular preferred

Responsibilities

• Develop and deploy processes to roll out new tools and guides across 400+ engineers
• Support other teams in adopting new tools and processes
• Standardize CI/CD via versioning, modifying release processes, and creating GitHub workflows & actions
• Set standards for development best practices by developing guides, linters, and static code analysis tools for Java and TypeScript
• Write extensive documentation of how to use the tools you build
• Listen to fellow engineers to learn about their daily challenges and take initiative to improve their workflow
• Drive new tools and practices adoption across Celonis development teams
• Set an example for colleagues in coding and best practices
• Write clean, understandable, and testable code
• Help define a fun and inclusive engineering culture
• Provide feedback on the designs and code of peers
