The Boeing Company is currently seeking a full stack Experienced Software Engineer to join the Software Engineering Organization located in Seattle WA, Tukwila, WA, or Everett WA. In this position, you will collaborate with other world-class scientists, researchers, and engineers innovating on a range of technologies such as Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning (AI/ML), Automation, and Autonomy, etc. As part of Boeing Software Engineering Organization which supports Boeing Technology Innovation (BTI), our software engineers use their expertise to dream up next-generation software capabilities for amazing aerospace, satellite, and autonomy platforms. Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience designing and developing software using any of the listed programming languages - Python, C/C++, or Java
  • 3+ years of experience working with backend development and/ or cloud environments
  • This position must meet export control compliance requirements. To meet export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.15 is required. “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelors degree from an accredited course of study in computer science, data science, mathematics, engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, or physics.
  • Experience with full software development lifecycle as part of the agile team
  • Proficient in C++ / python / Java
  • Experience with Cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, etc.), Linux, backend, containerization (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift).
  • Experience with modern microservices architecture, implementation, and operations.
  • Experience with relational database and AI/ML techniques
  • MS or PhD in Computer Science or Engineering related field.

Responsibilities

  • Making major contributions to the full software development lifecycle as a full stack software engineer, including problem analysis and planning, Software Architecture & Design, Software Development, Software testing, and Software deployment with operational excellence.
  • Working efficiently as part of the agile team with experience of Cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, etc.), Linux, backend, containerization (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift).
  • Collaborating with stakeholders, engineering teams, and peers closely for the software delivery on time with safety and quality.
  • Building and growing the software capabilities across organizations and teams.
  • Attending and presenting technical work in meetings with great verbal and written communications.
  • Mentoring junior software engineers
