About The Position

Radiant is seeking a driven Software Engineer to architect and build data pipelines for analysis and simulation. In this role, you will enable software engineers and system REs from across the organization to quickly and easily interrogate simulation results and perform analysis on hardware design iterations. Your work will be a critical link between internal and third-party analysis tools and the teams making hardware and software design decisions.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or engineering
• 5+ years of professional experience in Python, C++, C#, or similar object-oriented programming languages
• Experience building and maintaining data pipelines for hardware analysis (or AI/ML workflows or other distributed data processing systems)
• Database selection and design experience (e.g. Databricks, Snowflake, Bigquery)
• Familiarity with common orchestration systems and job runners (Kubernetes, Argo Workflows, Airflow)
• Familiarity with Git, Docker, and common CI/CD frameworks
• Ability to work from Radiant's office in El Segundo, CA (greater Los Angeles) full-time

Nice To Haves

• Highly self-motivated with strong communication skills
• Experience with hardware simulation or computational modeling of physical systems
• Experience testing software and hardware
• Experience with distributed software development and familiarity with common design patterns
• Interest in physics, hardware and electrical engineering

Responsibilities

• Architect data platforms and pipelines to support design analysis
• Design, build, and maintain batch and streaming ETL pipelines
• Own data review products end-to-end, start by gathering requirements and see projects through to delivery and continuous improvement
• Know your internal customers - collaborate with the simulation team and mechanical engineers to understand their workflows and pain points
• Scope and guide the development of front-end features, implement data visualizations and dashboards solo and in collaboration with other front-end engineers
