About The Position

We are looking for a Software Engineer – Cloud Infrastructure with strong multi-cloud (especially Google Cloud Platform / GCP) experience — capable of designing, deploying, and operating secure, high-performance cloud infrastructure. The role involves building and maintaining cloud landing zones, CI/CD pipelines, containerized and serverless architectures, and ensuring security and compliance for federally relevant environments.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or relevant field, or equivalent work experience
  • Strong hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) — design, deployment, operations, networking, IAM.
  • Proficiency in Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) tools: Terraform, GCP Cloud Deployment Manager, or equivalent.
  • Proficiency with containerization & orchestration tools — Kubernetes (GKE), Docker, serverless functions.
  • Strong scripting or coding skills — e.g., Python, Bash, PowerShell — for automation and tooling.
  • Solid understanding of cloud networking , VPC design, subnets, firewall/ security groups, connectivity, identity & access control (IAM).
  • Experience building/maintaining CI/CD pipelines for both infrastructure and application deployments.
  • Good communication skills, ability to collaborate across teams, produce documentation
  • Secret Clearance Required

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with other clouds (AWS, Azure) is a plus — familiarity with hybrid or multi-cloud environments.

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement multi-cloud infrastructure solutions (primarily GCP; AWS / Azure as needed) that meet performance, cost, security, and regulatory requirements.
  • Build and maintain infrastructure-as-code (IaC) using Terraform, Cloud Deployment Manager (for GCP), or equivalent tooling.
  • Set up and manage cloud landing zones, networking (VPCs, subnet design), firewall rules, IAM/roles, identity & access control aligned to least-privilege principles.
  • Deploy, manage, and scale containerized or serverless workloads (e.g., Kubernetes / GKE, Docker, Cloud Run / Lambdas) as part of enterprise-scale architectures.
  • Architect and maintain CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure and applications — enabling automated builds, deployments, rollback, and environment promotion (dev → test → prod) under compliance controls.
  • Implement monitoring, logging, alerting, and automated remediation to ensure high availability, security posture, and performance of cloud systems.
  • Collaborate with application, security, operations and compliance teams to integrate infrastructure and platform capabilities into overall enterprise architecture.
  • Maintain documentation: network & architecture diagrams, runbooks, SOPs, security/compliance checklists.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant government or regulated-client standards (e.g., FedRAMP, DoD IL5/6, security clearance protocols) if required.
  • Continuously evaluate new cloud technologies / tools, recommend optimizations and improvements.
