We are seeking a passionate and experienced Software Engineer to join our team, with a specific focus on the physical metadata layer and Iceberg Managed Tables. In this role, you will be instrumental in contributing to our mission by designing, developing, and maintaining critical metadata services that power BigQuery's performance and functionality.

Requirements

  • Experience in software engineering with a focus on large-scale systems.
  • Strong understanding of distributed computing and data storage.
  • Familiarity with metadata management and analytics platforms.
  • Ability to work across the full-stack and tackle new problems.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
