About The Position

We're hiring a Software Engineer to help build and evolve the backend systems that power Grow Therapy's platform. In this role, you'll design, implement, and ship server-side features and services that directly impact how clients and providers connect, communicate, and access care. You'll join a collaborative, product-focused engineering organization where technical work is closely tied to reliability, scalability, and real-world outcomes. This role is ideal for an engineer who takes pride in writing clean, well-tested code, thinks carefully about system design and data integrity, and is energized by the opportunity to grow alongside a fast-moving team. Access to mental healthcare in America is still deeply fragmented and Grow Therapy is building the platform to fix that. Requirements

3+ years of professional software engineering experience
Strong backend engineering experience, including service design, data modeling, and API development
Experience building and maintaining production systems at scale where reliability, data quality, and correctness matter
Comfortable working in Python (preferred) with a solid understanding of backend fundamentals
Strong execution skills and the ability to deliver scoped work independently
Curiosity and a willingness to learn complex systems and new problem domains
A product-minded approach — you understand how technical decisions impact user experience and business outcomes
Strong collaboration and communication skills, with a track record of working closely with cross-functional partners including Product, Design, and Data Science
A bias toward ownership, speed, learning, and continuous improvement

Nice To Haves

Experience using AI-assisted dev tools (e.g., Cursor, GitHub Copilot)

Responsibilities

Design, implement, and ship backend services and APIs that power core platform functionality for clients and providers
Own the full lifecycle of your work — from scoping and implementation through testing, deployment, and iteration
Contribute to and improve core platform systems, including those related to data pipelines, service reliability, and business logic
Implement and support A/B tests and experiments, from hypothesis through measurement and rollout
Investigate, triage, and resolve production incidents and complex cross-system bugs
Write clean, well-tested, maintainable production code and take an active role in code reviews
Collaborate closely with Product, Design, and Data to deliver well-scoped, measurable solutions
Participate in technical discussions and contribute to architectural decisions within your team
