Software Engineer (backend-focus)

Requirements
- 2–5 years of production software engineering experience
- Strong backend engineering experience building scalable systems
- Demonstrated product mindset — ability to translate customer needs into technical solutions
- Experience working in high-growth, product-led environments (startup or similar)
- Ability to operate independently and thrive in ambiguous problem spaces
- Strong communication skills with experience interacting directly with customers or stakeholders
- Comfortable working onsite in San Francisco (4 days/week)
Nice To Haves
- Experience at high-growth startups or top-tier technology companies (e.g., Google, Meta, etc.)
- Background in fintech, payments, or communications platforms
- Experience building AI-powered or API-driven products
- Exposure to customer-facing engineering roles (e.g., product engineer, solutions engineer)
- Strong academic background in Computer Science or a related field
Responsibilities
- Work directly with customers to understand their problems and translate requirements into technical solutions
- Own features and product initiatives end-to-end , from discovery and scoping to implementation and launch
- Design, build, and scale backend systems that power AI-driven voice and communication products
- Collaborate closely with founders and cross-functional teams to shape product direction
- Identify ambiguous problems and proactively define solutions that drive business impact
- Lead technical projects, including defining scope, creating execution plans, and delivering outcomes
- Contribute to improving onboarding speed and product capabilities as customer demand grows
