Within Guidelines Platform team we manage suite of applications that helps Asset
Management business meet its compliance requirements per the legal contracts
with the clients as well as with regulators. This involves integrating data
points from multiple sources in an extensible data structure to enable
evaluation of complex business rules.

As part of the development team you will be building solutions leveraging
technologies like React, VERTX 3.x, Single store, Java 17, Kafka, workflows,
and REST services to provided scalable solution for supporting low-latency,
concurrent, highly fail-safe and resilient services to support real-time trading
environment. The candidate will be responsible for the platform uplift of the
core application for investment decisions / guidelines.

Requirements

• Meaningful experience in, but not limited to, any one of the following: Microservices, Java, React, SQL
• Experience of working with non-relational as well as relational databases
• Strong knowledge of data structures and algorithms
• Excellent object oriented or functional analysis and design skills
• Comfortable multi-tasking, managing multiple stakeholders, and working as part of a global team
• Proven communication and interpersonal ability

Nice To Haves

• Experience building client- and consumer-facing products is a plus, but far from required
• Knowledge of existing strategic firmwide platforms is a plus, but far from required

Responsibilities

• Be part of a global team, working closely with portfolio managers, operations and other engineers
• Building low latency, scalable and resilient services
• Write high quality, well-tested, and scalable code
• Evaluate the short- and long-term implications of every implementation decision
• Grow professionally and learn from other accomplished software engineers through pair coding while helping your peers to do the same
• Collaborate on critical system architecture decisions
• Review and provide feedback on other developers’ code and design
• Evaluate modern technologies, prototype innovative approaches to problems and make the business case for changes
• Use infrastructure-as-code to build and deploy applications
