Corporate IT is actively searching for a Software Engineer Associate -.Net who will leverage their technology skills to develop business solutions within the healthcare industry. You will be challenged with cutting-edge technologies to provide a modern framework for container, cloud, and serverless .Net/Linux-based solutions. You will be engaged in a wide variety of work, including but not limited to web applications and web service development, platform development, and automation. You will develop and contribute technical skills in our agile development teams and deal with complex business integrations, eliciting requirements, and implementing secure and high-performance services consumed by various devices and applications across the organization. You will be part of our software evolution and innovation ensuring that we meet our internal and external clients' software needs today and tomorrow. Most importantly, you'll be engaged in meaningful work for an organization that is committed to "improving health, improving lives, and pursuit of answers" every day.

Requirements

  • Minimum Requirements Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent technical work experience.
  • Previous and/or active Labcorp Internship required
  • Hands-on experience with .NET development.
  • Hands-on experience working on developing RESTful web services.
  • Demonstrate the ability to learn new technologies, research new areas within computer science, and apply this research to ongoing initiatives.
  • Ability to troubleshoot, follow-through, and solve problems.
  • Exhibit analytical, communication and team collaboration skills to actively participate in our Agile teams.
  • This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship.

Nice To Haves

  • Acquire knowledge of primary AWS services (Lambda, ECS, IAM, VPC, EC2, ELB, RDS, Route53, S3, API gateway, SQS).
  • Work with relational and NoSQL databases (e.g., Mongo DB).
  • Understand of container-based and serverless application concepts.
  • Gain experience with messaging services like SQS, Kafka, IBM MQ, or ActiveMQ.
  • Get familiar with Infrastructure as Code Tools such as Terraform and AWS CloudFormation.

Responsibilities

  • Develop through modern Agile development methodologies intuitive, easy-to-use software in collaboration with the development team, project managers, business analysts, UX designers, quality assurance and users across the organization.
  • Take ownership of assigned application development tasks.
  • Code complex RESTful micro services for new applications and enhancing existing applications.
  • Learn and follow best practices for test-driven development and QA automation integration.
  • Provide modern and performant solutions for large-scale applications.
