THE ROLE We are on a mission to revolutionize AI infrastructure to make it easy for Enterprise companies to do AI. Pure Storage's AI Infrastructure team is creating a breakthrough platform that abstracts away infrastructure, allowing data scientists, model engineers, and AI practitioners to focus on data, math, and models by rethinking how data is organized, tracked, and accessed. You'll be a key generalist helping us create this AI Data platform that makes Pure uniquely suited for AI opportunities.
Requirements
- Demonstrated experience shipping high-quality, enterprise-grade software.
- Expertise in systems engineering and a strong background in AI.
- Proven capability and interest in developing software from scratch and leading engineering teams.
- Proficiency in at least two of the following programming languages: Python, Go, Rust, or C++.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders and translate customer problems into technical designs.
- We are primarily an in-office environment and therefore, you will be expected to work from the Santa Clara, CA office in compliance with Pure's policies, unless you are on PTO, or work travel, or other approved leave.
Responsibilities
- Develop and ship high-quality enterprise-grade software, with a focus on creating a significant impact on the business.
- Lead the development of distributed systems at scale, ensuring reliability and performance.
- Work collaboratively with various stakeholders to gather requirements, influence design decisions, and drive projects to completion.
- Apply your expertise in AI Engineering, leveraging knowledge of technologies like LLMs and transformer architecture to solve challenging problems.
- Take ownership of software development from inception, guiding a team of engineers and setting a high standard for engineering best practices.
