About the team and the role:
eBay, Inc. seeks Software Engineer 3 in San Jose, CA
What you will accomplish:
Job Duties: Design, develop and test new software applications and product features with a particularized focus on security, scalability, performance, and reliability. Build software services that are resilient, optimally monitored, alerted, and self-healed by applying software engineering practices to operate the site. Ensure completeness, accuracy, and veracity of data pipelines. Perform software system troubleshooting in eBay networks (TCP/IP) and code. Utilize object-oriented programming techniques using Java to create robust applications using simplified, reusable code. Apply programming and scripting languages using Python to create asymmetrical product layouts to improve machine learning software products. Configure newly designed product features for implementation into portable, multitasking, time-sharing operating systems and mobile devices. Telecommuting permitted – work can be performed from anywhere within the U.S.
What you will bring:

Requirements

• Master’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Engineering, Digital Sciences or a closely related field plus two years of experience in the job offered or a related occupation.
• Employer will accept a Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Engineering, Digital Sciences or a closely related field plus five years of experience in the job offered or a related occupation.
