About The Position

Are you interested in using your skills to help shape the Cyber, Security, & Intel space? If so, look no further. Amentum is seeking a Software Engineer 3 to join our team of passionate individuals in Ft. Meade, Maryland. In this role you will support challenging, mission-critical projects that make a direct impact on the Nation's security and intelligence mission. As a SWE3, you will develop analytics using Java MapReduce and Python in the Linux (Red Hat version 7+) environment. You will work directly with the customer in a highly collaborative, integrated fast-paced environment using leading technologies.

Requirements

• Experience with Java MapReduce, the Hadoop Distributed File System (HDFS), and technologies such as Hadoop Hive, Pig, Etc.
• Experience with distributed scalable Big Data Store (NoSQL) such as H Base, CloudBase/Accumulo, Big Table, etc.
• Experience with serialization such as JSON and/or BSON; developing restful services; and using source code management tools.
• Experience developing software solution using Python

Responsibilities

• Develop analytics for survey and intelligence value assessments.
• Provide software development/engineering, including requirements analysis, installation, integration, evaluation, enhancement, maintenance, testing, and problem diagnosis/resolution.
