About The Position
Hologic is seeking a talented and experienced Software Engineer to join the R&D department of our Surgical Division in Marlborough, MA. This position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the development of life-saving medical devices in a high-growth facility. As a Software Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and maintaining high-quality software applications using C++, QT/QML, and Java programming languages. You will work closely with a cross-functional team that includes Marketing, Manufacturing, Design Assurance, and Service teams to ensure that the UI/UX design meets user needs and expectations. In this role, you will operate effectively in an agile environment, collaborating with other software developers, testers, engineers, and project managers to deliver software solutions in a timely manner. You will adhere to best practices for software development, testing, documentation, and code review, ensuring that the software meets quality standards and requirements. Additionally, you will support and provide constructive feedback on the architecture and design of projects, suggest improvements, and resolve software issues and bugs while providing technical support to users. You will also explore and assess new technologies and tools that can enhance software quality and performance, integrating them into the development process. Clear and effective communication with internal and external stakeholders is essential, as you will provide regular updates on project status and progress. The ability to lead and drive modules to completion while working autonomously and collaboratively with team members is crucial. You will also support custom tool design and implementation as required by projects.
