About The Position

The Software Engineer 1, Data Platform will join a dynamic team responsible for building and maintaining the core infrastructure that powers large-scale, data-intensive SaaS applications. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to scalable storage systems, batch and stream processing, and orchestration pipelines, while collaborating closely with experienced engineers. You will help automate operations, improve reliability, and apply innovative approaches to enhance developer and operator experiences. This position provides hands-on exposure to modern cloud technologies and data platforms, with room to grow technical expertise and take ownership of meaningful projects. You’ll be part of a high-impact team solving critical challenges for a fast-growing AI-focused organization. The role supports professional development in a collaborative, mentorship-driven environment.

Requirements

  • 1+ years of professional experience in software engineering, with backend, distributed systems, or infrastructure experience preferred.
  • Strong programming skills in Python, Go, or a similar language (academic, personal, or professional experience counts).
  • Solid foundation in software engineering fundamentals: data structures, clean code, testing, and debugging.
  • Interest in learning cloud platforms and technologies such as AWS, Databricks, databases, streaming, and orchestration.
  • Curiosity, problem-solving mindset, and a willingness to ask questions and seek guidance.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team, with strong communication skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with PostgreSQL, OpenSearch/Elasticsearch, Redis, RocksDB, Kafka, Spark, Airflow, or DBT.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.
  • Exposure to large-scale or data-intensive systems.

  • Contribute to the design, development, and operation of core data platform components.
  • Build tools and services that simplify adoption and scaling of data systems across engineering teams.

  • Collaborate across teams to solve large-scale data challenges and improve platform efficiency.
