We are seeking a Software Engineer who develops, maintains, and enhances complex and diverse software systems based upon documented requirements. As a Software Engineer at the entry level, you will develop, maintain, and enhance a variety of complex and diverse software systems. These systems range from processing-intensive analytics to real-time systems and business management information systems, all tailored to meet documented requirements. You will operate both independently and collaboratively within a team setting.

  • Analyze user requirements to derive software design and performance requirements
  • Design and code new software or modify existing software to add new features
  • Debug existing software and correct defects
  • Integrate existing software into new or modified systems or operating environments
  • Develop simple data queries for existing or proposed databases or data repositories
  • Make recommendations for improving documentation and software development process standards
  • 1+ years of experience in any of the following: JAVA, EJBs, Struts, Hibernate, JavaScript JSP, servlet programming, J2EE, enterprise web application design and development, REST-ful applications, Apache Tomcat web server, XML (JAXP 1.1), Interface Control Documents (ICDs)
  • 1+ years of experience programming on Linux platforms
  • BS in Computer Science or related technical discipline, or an additional 4 years of relevant software engineering experience, in lieu of a degree
