About The Position

The OCI Developer Lifecycle (DLC) Services team's vision is to deliver a complete DevOps platform for external OCI customers to develop code and perform their entire Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment operations (CI/CD) on the OCI cloud. We build out the services that developer customers need to adopt, build, deploy, and operate applications, allowing them to take advantage of the secure and high performance OCI infrastructure. We’re looking for a hands-on leader with strong management experience to come lead and build a team responsible for building in distributed systems and highly available services. As a Engineering Manager of Development, you will own and manage team of software engineers responsible for the software architecture and development for major components of Oracle’s Cloud . You should be comfortable with low level operating systems development, be able to architect broad systems interactions, while being very hands-on, able to dive deep into any part of the stack and higher level system interactions. You should value simplicity and scale, work comfortably in a collaborative, agile environment, and be excited to learn. Requirements

  • 2+ years of management experience in enterprise software
  • 7+ years of experience with applications development with 4+ years in large scale distributed applications / web services
  • Good at programming in object oriented languages such as Java/C++/C# and Python
  • Bachelors in Computer Science, Engineering, or related engineering fields, or equivalent.

Nice To Haves

  • 12+ years of experience
  • Prior development experience with developer productivity tools a plus
  • Bachelors/Masters / PhD degree in Computer Science or related engineering fields

  • Paid time off: Flexible Vacation is provided to all eligible employees assigned to a salaried (non-overtime eligible) position. Accrued Vacation is provided to all other employees eligible for vacation benefits. For employees working at least 35 hours per week, the vacation accrual rate is 13 days annually for the first three years of employment and 18 days annually for subsequent years of employment.
