We are looking for a passionate, innovative, results-oriented Software Development Manager to take a pivotal role in expanding the impact that Buy with Prime has on our shoppers and merchants. In this role, you will manage a team of highly-skilled Software Engineers and will partner closely with internal and external stakeholders to deliver technical solutions. You will have the opportunity to build, scale and shape the direction of this business. This role requires technical expertise, excellent leadership skills, and strong business judgment. You will be responsible for services that can be deployed globally, delivering an exceptional customer experience, and providing thought leadership in a fast-paced development environment. This is a highly visible role working across multiple leadership stakeholders within the organization. The ideal candidate thinks strategically, is a strong organizer, takes initiative, operates effectively across many teams, and is comfortable in detailed discussions with our partners.   • Manage a team of highly-skilled Software Engineers.
  • Partner closely with internal and external stakeholders to deliver technical solutions.
  • Build, scale, and shape the direction of the Buy with Prime business.
  • Deliver services that can be deployed globally.
  • Provide thought leadership in a fast-paced development environment.
  • 3+ years of engineering team management experience.
  • 7+ years of engineering experience.
  • 8+ years of leading the definition and development of multi-tier web services experience.
  • Knowledge of engineering practices and patterns for the full software/hardware/networks development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, certification, and livesite operations.
  • Experience partnering with product or program management teams.
  • Experience in communicating with users, other technical teams, and senior leadership to collect requirements, describe software product features, technical designs, and product strategy.
  • Experience in recruiting, hiring, mentoring/coaching and managing teams of Software Engineers to improve their skills and make them more effective product software engineers.
