About The Position
Koniag IT Systems, LLC, a Koniag Government Services company, is seeking a Software Development Lead with a Secret clearance to support KITS and our government customer at Huntsville, AL. This is an onsite position. Koniag IT Systems, LLC, a Koniag Government Services company, is seeking a Software Development Lead to support our Army customer in Huntsville, Alabama. The ideal candidate will combine technical expertise with leadership capabilities, holding an active Security+ certification and demonstrating proficiency in Agile/Scrum methodologies. This position requires on-site presence in Huntsville, Alabama. Essential Functions, Responsibilities & Duties may include, but are not limited to:
Requirements
- Security+ Certification (Active and Current), required
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years of software development experience
- 2+ years in a technical leadership or lead developer role
- Proven experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies
- Strong programming skills in relevant languages (Java, Python, C#, etc.)
- Experience with Power Platform
- Excellent communication and team leadership abilities
- Experience with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines
- Knowledge of cloud platforms and microservices architecture
- Secret Clearance required
Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor a team of software developers for application development and maintenance
- Oversee the full software development lifecycle from requirements gathering through deployment
- Facilitate Agile/Scrum ceremonies
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define technical requirements and project scope
- Ensure adherence to security protocols and compliance standards
- Conduct code reviews and maintain development best practices
- Manage project timelines, resource allocation, and delivery commitments
- Troubleshoot complex technical issues and provide architectural guidance
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams
- Perform other duties as assigned
