About The Position

Do you want to work with cutting-edge technologies and help shape the future of industrial software? Emerson's Process Systems and Solutions business develops automation software that powers the energy and manufacturing industries. We are seeking a Software Development Intern (Summer 2026) who is passionate about software engineering and excited to gain hands-on experience in a collaborative, innovative environment based in either our Round Rock, TX or Houston, TX office. You will contribute to the development of AI-enhanced features for our Midstream O2C Manager for Liquids application and assist in building scalable, modern web applications using Angular and .NET Core.

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in an accredited college/university.
  • Pursuing a degree in Engineering or Technical Field or Business or related field.
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States. Sponsorship will not be provided for this position.

Nice To Haves

  • Junior or Senior.
  • Experience with Angular, .NET Core, or similar frameworks.
  • Exposure to AI/ML concepts, tools, or coursework.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS) and DevOps practices.
  • Previous internship or project experience in software development.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with software engineers to design and implement AI-based functionality within our Midstream O2C Manager for Liquids platform.
  • Develop and maintain front-end components using Angular and back-end services using .NET Core.
  • Participate in code reviews, testing, and debugging to ensure high-quality software delivery.
  • Explore and apply machine learning models and AI techniques to solve real-world business problems.
  • Work closely with product managers and domain experts to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Document technical designs, implementation details, and user guides as needed.
