About The Position

Kimley-Horn is looking for Software Development Intern to join our Twin Cities, Minnesota (MN) office! This is not a remote position. Responsibilities Support development of existing and emerging software products in Kimley-Horn’s portfolio. Work with team members and business partners to understand and design project requirements and enhancements based on business and user needs Develop applications and creative solutions based on project requirements Apply bug fixes and enhancements to existing solutions Implement and support applications post deployment Quickly evaluate bugs, and apply fixes to resolve issues Understand and apply best practices; remain knowledgeable of trends in the software development industry Why Kimley-Horn? Requirements

  • In the process of obtaining an ABET accredited engineering degree (Bachelor or Masters) in these majors: Software Engineering Computer Science Systems Engineering or related field of study
  • Familiarity with relational databases such as MS SQL Server or Oracle
  • Please provide a link to your portfolio or examples of your work and skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Web development experience building complex applications with HTML5 & JavaScript framework, WPF Applications, or C# Services
  • Experience with two of the following: ASP.NET, HTML5/CSS, MEAN stack, REST web services, C#/.NET, WPF
  • Experience with AngularJS, TypeScript, and JavaScript/jQuery
