About The Position
Five Rings is a proprietary trading firm founded with a vision of combining strategy, innovation and technology to succeed in today’s global markets. With offices in New York, Boca Raton, London and Amsterdam, Five Rings trades in various domestic and international markets, both established and esoteric. Our team constantly seeks new opportunities, analyzes their risks and rewards, and creates strategies and tools to capitalize on them. This Summer 2026, Five Rings will host an immersive, 5-day workshop exploring how trading systems technologies are designed and built. Leveraging our state-of-the-art C++ and Python development environment on Linux and mentored by our full-time software developers, participants will cover a wide range of topics from the network protocol stacks and distributed systems to C++23 and fundamentals of automated trading system programming. Current sophomores are invited to apply to join us in New York City at our office in Brookfield Place for this week-long intensive experience.
