As a Software Development Engineer at FIS, you will play a crucial role in building a brand-new financial technology platform that aims to revolutionize the way financial products are developed and offered. Our Embedded Finance team is dedicated to enabling developers across various sectors to create and monetize innovative financial solutions. Debugging and troubleshooting software issues will be part of your daily tasks to ensure business continuity and a high-quality user experience. You will also participate in code reviews to uphold coding standards and quality, write unit and integration tests, and implement observability practices to ensure the reliability of our platform. Additionally, you will provide live on-call support as part of the team rotation, taking ownership of production issues from root cause analysis to resolution. Collaborating with cross-functional teams, you will help bring innovative ideas to life, design elegant API interfaces, and build secure, robust systems for processing transactions and managing customer data. You will also be responsible for estimating project timelines and ensuring that your projects remain on track, escalating issues as necessary.
