About The Position

Amazon Ads is a fast-growing business at Amazon, delivering billions of ad impressions and millions of clicks daily through a portfolio of self-service performance advertising products that drive discovery and sales for our Retail and Marketplace businesses. We're seeking a Software Development Engineer to own and evolve our media planning tools and advance reach planning functionality to deliver more accurate, actionable media plans for agencies and advertisers. You will focus on building the new agentic experience, enabling media planners and strategists to build media strategies and optimize media mixes through natural language conversation. These agentic skills help planners from getting instant answers to simple questions to exploring complex topics, including cross-product reach forecasting and full-funnel budget allocation strategies. This is a high-visibility role where shared ownership, intellectual curiosity, and customer obsession drive everything we build.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
  • 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
  • 1+ years of designing and developing large-scale, multi-tiered, multi-threaded, embedded or distributed software applications, tools, systems, and services using: C#, C++, Java, or Perl experience
  • 1+ years of Object Oriented Design experience
  • Experience programming with at least one software programming language

Nice To Haves

  • 3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent

Responsibilities

  • Design and build the core system of the agent workflow, owning the full development lifecycle from problem definition through production deployment.
  • Own technical solutions end-to-end: decompose broad problem statements into concrete designs, write the code, and ship to customers.
  • Deliver production-ready software through iterative development cycles with frequent releases.
