Job Title Software Development Engineer About Your Role You will play a critical role in designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality software applications, specifically supporting our financial institution clients. You will work with cross-functional teams to deliver solutions that align with our business goals and client needs. What you’ll do: Lead the design, development, and implementation of software applications to support Fiserv's business goals Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications Perform coding, testing, and debugging of applications to ensure optimal performance and reliability Maintain and improve existing codebases and lead peer review processes Mentor junior developers and provide technical guidance to enhance team capabilities Responsibilities listed are not intended to be all-inclusive and may be modified as necessary

Requirements

• 6+ years of experience in software development
• 6+ years of experience in core Java, Spring Boot, JPA/Hibernate and REST frameworks
• 3+ years of experience in core .NET development
• 3+ years of experience in SQL databases
• 3+ years of experience in AWS, Azure, or GCP services
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, or a relevant field, or an equivalent combination of education, work, and/or military experience
• In order to be considered, you must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without need for visa sponsorship now or in the future

Nice To Haves

• Proficient with Angular/React for front‑end development and API integration
• Prior experience with CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, and automation (GitHub Actions or similar)
• Ability to provide production support with on-call rotations, incident triage and troubleshooting using tools such as Splunk or Dynatrace
• Prior experience in an Agile environment
• Experience with Kafka and designing/operating large distributed microservice systems.
