Amazon Leo is Amazon’s low Earth orbit satellite broadband network. Manufacturing Software Systems (MSS) is seeking a Software Development Engineer who will help solve a variety of technical challenges related to manufacturing the satellites, ground equipment and associated ASICs. You will play an active role in translating business and functional requirements into concrete deliverables and build quick prototypes or proofs of concept in partnership with other technology leaders within the team. You will tackle challenging, novel situations and will have the opportunity to work with multiple technical teams spanning a variety of domains: software, hardware, networks, RF, embedded, real-time, distributed as well as industrial automation systems.

Requirements

• 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
• 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
• Experience programming with at least one software programming language
• 3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
• Full-stack development experience, including emphasis on authorization, authentication and identity management

Responsibilities

• You will design and develop manufacturing software to drive the assembly, calibration, testing, and provisioning of satellites.
• You will collaborate with teams from manufacturing engineering, product engineering, and security engineering to identify requirements and design manufacturing software.
• You will design and develop the end-to-end system capabilities required for manufacturing orchestration across factory production lines.
