Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, GIS, or a related field
  • One year of experience in the job offered
  • Demonstrated experience in objected oriented design, algorithms, design patterns, Android programming, Java, and Kotlin

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop focused native apps that meet the requirements of a broad range of users
  • Create, maintain, and implement source code to develop mobile apps and programs that meet the needs and requirements of software users
  • Design responsive and intuitive user interfaces for mobile, desktop, and web systems
  • Research new software technologies and generate new ideas and implementations that could either improve existing apps or provide new app opportunities
  • Create prototype applications, provide the unit structure, and help the application development team or clients in the product plans
  • Ensure that ArcGIS software meets real-world usage scenarios
  • Fix any reported software issues and defects
  • Help write automated tests at the code level to ensure code is of necessary quality
  • Document software designs and features to effectively collaborate with other software development and product test engineers
  • Work closely with other software development engineers to consult, discuss, and apply various design patterns and coding styles for creating and developing the mobile apps
  • Solve and articulate complex problems with application design, development, and user experiences
  • Apply software engineering concepts, algorithms, and data structures using computer languages such as C++, OpenGL, Java, and Graphics
