About The Position

Amazon Finance Technology's GRC team is seeking a Software Development Engineer to build high-performance, scalable Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) products that support Amazon's current and future growth. The ideal candidate will invent newer and simpler ways of building solutions leveraging AI/ML and automation. This challenging position involves creating the next generation of distributed, scalable GRC systems, thriving in a fast-paced environment, and addressing highly complex business contexts that are typically defined in real-time. The engineer will design and develop services that facilitate global GRC processes and provide holistic insights across the organization. As a Software Development Engineer in the GRC team, you will solve various technical challenges and build highly scalable solutions to address unique problems for worldwide GRC teams. You will work on big data problems leveraging AWS services, design enterprise-scaled systems, develop and deploy highly scalable and reliable distributed services. You will tackle challenging, novel situations daily, leveraging AI/ML and automation to drive innovation in areas such as Integrated Risk Management (IRM), Automated Risk Management with AI/ML-Driven Assessment, Approval, and Mitigation, Global & Conversational Search UX for Holistic GRC Insights, and Smart Editor.

Requirements

• 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
• 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
• Experience programming with at least one software programming language

Nice To Haves

• 3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
