About The Position

The SDE II position within the AWS Applications and Higher Level Abstractions team focuses on developing software for Physical Stores POS Devices. This role involves building and maintaining systems that support point of sale operations, ensuring high availability and low latency to enhance customer experiences. The team is dedicated to solving complex problems and delivering innovative solutions for Amazon's Physical Stores.

Requirements

• 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
• 2+ years of experience in design or architecture of systems, focusing on reliability and scaling.
• Proficiency in at least one software programming language.

Nice To Haves

• 3+ years of experience in the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, and source control management.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Develop software for point of sale systems and devices.
• Ensure systems are fault tolerant and highly available.
• Collaborate with team members to implement solutions that improve customer experiences.
