HOPPR is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) to join our dynamic team. This position is fully remote and open to candidates in WA, CA, TX, IL, and NY. The ideal candidate will be passionate about automating testing processes and ensuring the delivery of high-quality software. As an SDET, you will collaborate closely with software developers, system operators, and other IT staff members to manage code releases and deployments effectively. Your role will involve designing and implementing complex automated tests to validate the output and performance of large image-to-text machine learning models. In this position, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining automated testing frameworks and systems. You will work closely with development teams to integrate testing methodologies into the software development process, ensuring that quality is built into the product from the ground up. Identifying, recording, documenting, and tracking bugs through to resolution will be a key part of your responsibilities. You will also develop and execute comprehensive suites of automation test plans and test cases, continuously improving automated testing strategies and frameworks for UI, API, ML models, and performance testing. Participation in code reviews will be essential to ensure that automated tests adhere to coding standards and best practices. You will collaborate with the QA team to understand how manual test cases can be automated and leverage state-of-the-art automation strategies and techniques for validating LLM outputs. Monitoring and analyzing test results, reporting findings to development teams and management, and staying up to date with new testing tools and strategies will also be part of your role.
