About The Position

We are seeking an SDET II to serve as a vital voice of quality within our engineering squads. In this role, you will bridge the gap between development and delivery, moving beyond simple execution to independent ownership of feature testing and automation. You will understand technical designs deeply, ensuring that every component we build is robust, testable, and ready for continuous delivery.

Requirements

  • 3+ years in a software development team (Cross-functional/Agile environment preferred).
  • A solid grasp of TypeScript/Playwright. You are comfortable independently implementing and optimizing tests within existing automation frameworks.
  • Proven ability to independently triage failures, distinguishing between environment issues, script flakiness, and genuine regressions to maintain a "green" pipeline.
  • Experience documenting manual test cases and drafting feature-specific test plans that define clear "Go/No-Go" release criteria.
  • Familiarity with integrating quality gates into continuous delivery pipelines to enable faster, safer deployments.
  • A proven ability to act as the "source of truth" for your team—using data from your tests to clearly communicate the health and risks of a feature before it hits production.
  • An innate ability to identify your own skill gaps and a drive to grow outside your current expertise through mentorship and peer feedback.
  • Experience using observability tools (e.g., Datadog, Splunk, or New Relic) to triage automated test failures and monitor the health of test environments.

Responsibilities

  • Spend 80% of your time writing automation that is comprehensive, easy to maintain, and robust. You will independently design and optimize automation using our existing frameworks.
  • Take independent ownership of feature testing. While you'll have access to mentorship for large-scale architectural decisions, you are the driver for the quality of your assigned domain.
  • Partner with Engineers, Product, and Design to solidify acceptance criteria. You don’t just test requirements; you help define them.
  • Act as a technical communicator for your squad. You will clearly raise concerns regarding defects or processes and work with leadership to build transparency around blockers and solutions.
  • Regularly participate in code reviews, providing and seeking feedback to ensure our automation codebase remains world-class.
  • Lead team discussions regarding quality. You will identify small opportunities to create visibility and inspire your teammates to improve our CI/CD gating and testing throughput.
  • While automation is a priority, you will regularly complete manual tests to verify complex edge cases and ensure a seamless user experience.

Benefits

  • 100% paid employee health, dental, and vision plans (choose HMO, PPO, or HDHP)
  • HSA & FSA accounts
  • Life Insurance, Long & Short-term disability coverage
  • Employee Assistance Program (EAP)
  • 11+ Observed holidays and wellness days and flexible time off
  • Employee Stock Purchase Program with employee discounts
  • Wellness & Fitness initiatives
  • Employee recognition and referral programs
