Sony Interactive Entertainment (PlayStation) has an exciting career opportunity! We are looking for a motivated and creative engineer who can build the software required to verify key pieces of the PlayStation ecosystem; who is focused on quality, consistency, and thoughtful testing practices to develop and maintain automated tests that support the performance and reliability of our products. As a Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) II, you'll work hands-on with our SDK and peripherals, independently own and drive automated test coverage for specific features, and collaborate with senior engineers and development teams to ensure system quality. This position involves analyzing the quality of one of the following: (1) Real-world audio and video codecs used throughout the PlayStation system software. (2) PlayStation CPU compilers and tools that are part of the open-source LLVM compiler infrastructure. (3) PlayStation's 3D Audio technology and greater audio ecosystem used in the PlayStation software development kit (SDK) and system software. (4) The firmware and platform integration of PlayStation peripherals such as PlayStation Link devices. While these four areas are primary focus areas, there may be opportunities in testing 3D graphics, artificial intelligence, and the fully integrated PlayStation game development environment. We want someone who can directly contribute to PlayStation technology: by constructing tools and tests to better analyze the systems and libraries in the greater PlayStation SDK ecosystem. In addition, we seek new ways to expand and improve our existing testing infrastructure. Come join us and work closely with your team to ensure the highest quality PlayStation SDK projects and hardware!
